A Success

Our Walk4wheels project purchased an iPad with communication software for Damian. Here is a note from his mom.

I just want to say a huge thank you, I really believe the ipad/speech software is going to open up Damian’s world and I’m getting so excited watching him learn how to use it. (more…)

The thread that runs through all our programmes and events is the importance of diversity and inclusion and how society will benefit by opening eyes and ears to the lessons that can be taught by our differently-abled children. We believe that: Physical/intellectual impairment is self-evident and can be dealt with. Disability is created by the way in which society responds to the impairment.

Disability is often a behaviour and an attitude and although we are directly involved in impacting the lives of children with disabilities and their families, an equally important task is to invite able-bodied members of society to a greater awareness of the essential role that people with disabilities have to play in communities - teaching lessons that only they can teach. Interaction is always encouraged in an inclusive and accepting environment and the following programmes are presented:

Assistive Devices : Therapies : Inclusive Education : Social Entrepreneurship : Advocacy & Outreach : Vocation & Rehabilitation : Sports & Recreation : Art, Poetry & Crafts: African Outreach
